Expanded Our Surface Mount Manufacturing Capabilities
Windsor Technology has expanded its surface mount manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of two Hanwha SM482 Plus multi-functional placement machines, enhancing both high-volume production and prototype operations.
One SM482 Plus has been integrated into High-Speed Line 3, which now features three placement machines, significantly increasing throughput, line balancing, and production efficiency. The second SM482 Plus has been installed on Line 1, Windsor Technology’s prototype and designated first article line, improving placement speed, accuracy, and repeatability for early-stage and low-to-medium volume programs.
The Hanwha SM482 Plus delivers placement speeds of up to 30,000 components per hour (CPH) with placement accuracy of ±30 µm, supporting components ranging from 0201 chip sizes to larger, complex packages. This flexibility allows Windsor Technology to maintain precision across dense PCB layouts, fine-pitch devices, and mixed-technology assemblies.
